This website is operated by Cece’s Stories. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Cece’s Stories. By visiting this site and/or buying something from us, you agree to the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not agree to all of these terms, please do not use this site.

Online store terms

By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority and have given your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, and you may not, in using our service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction, including copyright laws. A breach or violation of any of these terms will result in an immediate termination of your access.

Products and pricing

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any product at any time. We have made every effort to display the colors and images of our products as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee that your screen’s display of any color will be accurate.

All product descriptions, dimensions and page counts are provided in good faith and are as accurate as we can make them. Occasional errors in pricing, availability or description may occur; where they do, we reserve the right to correct them and to cancel and refund any affected order.

We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products we offer, and to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including orders that appear to be placed by dealers or resellers without a wholesale arrangement.

Accuracy of billing and account information

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store, and to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and payment details, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

Payment

Payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments and the other payment providers offered at checkout. We do not store your full card details. Your purchase is also subject to the terms and privacy policy of the payment provider you choose.

Shipping and returns

Shipping, delivery estimates and international duties are covered in our Shipping Policy. Returns, refunds and damaged goods are covered in our Refund Policy. Both form part of these terms.

Intellectual property

All books, illustrations, characters, text, songs, designs, logos and other content published by Cece’s Stories, including the Be and Breathe series, are the intellectual property of Cece Beans and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

Buying a book gives you the right to read it, share it aloud with the children in your home, classroom, clinic or library, and to lend or resell your physical copy. It does not give you the right to reproduce, scan, photocopy, adapt, record for public distribution, create merchandise from, or sell derivative works based on the books or illustrations without written permission.

Teachers, therapists and librarians are warmly welcome to read our books aloud to their groups and to record read-alouds for their own classes or clients. For anything broader, including public performance, published read-aloud videos or classroom sets with copied pages, please email us. We say yes to a lot.

User comments and feedback

If you send us creative ideas, suggestions, reviews or other materials, whether at our request or not, you agree that we may use, edit, copy and publish them without restriction or obligation. You agree that your comments will not violate the rights of any third party and will not contain unlawful, abusive or defamatory material.

Third-party links

Some content and links on this site, including educational and parenting resources, come from third parties. We share them because we find them useful, but we are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party site, and linking to a resource is not an endorsement of everything on that site.

Educational content disclaimer

Our books and the resources on this site are written to support emotional regulation and calm, and are used in many homes, classrooms and therapy practices. They are not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you have concerns about your child’s development, behavior or mental health, please speak with your pediatrician or a licensed professional.

We do not guarantee that your use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. Governing law

These terms and any separate agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States.
